Anthony denies requesting trade

Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony denied requesting a trade, saying he has never once asked for one.

Anthony said he is a Nugget for now and that whatever happens, happens, and that he is keeping his options open.

He said he knows a lot of rumors have been flying about, but the trade talk is for him and the team to discuss internally.

The Nuggets most recently have been engaged in four-way trade talks, but sources say that deal will not happen. (more…)

Nuggets discussing trade with Bulls

The Denver Nuggets are discussing a potential trade with the Chicago Bulls that would send Carmelo Anthony to the Windy City.

The Nuggets insist that forward Joakim Noah be a part of any potential trade, which could be the sticking point in any potential deal.

Denver traded away Marcus Camby last year and Kenyon Martin and Nene Hilario are constantly hurt.

Noah would give the team an inside presence who can rebound and defend and also bring an energy level to the team. (more…)

Nuggets may trade Billups

The Denver Nuggets are now saying that veteran point guard Chauncey Billups may be traded as well.

What is going on out in Denver? It’s like there is a fire sale going on for a team that cannot contend.

The Nuggets already admitted that Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith are both going to be traded at some point.

All of the trade talk may be due to Anthony deciding he doesn’t want to re-sign with the Nuggets. (more…)
