Nuggets trade Anthony to Knicks
The Denver Nuggets have finally pulled the trigger on a Carmelo Anthony trade, sending the All-Star forward to the New York Knicks in a big deal.
The Nuggets acquired Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, a first round draft pick, two second round picks, future draft considerations and cash to obtain the forward.
They also sent Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman to New York.
While the Nuggets received a boatload in return for Anthony, they can’t be too happy to lose their franchise player.
Anthony helped take them to the playoffs and almost to the top of the Western Conference, and there is certainly some disappointment to see him move on to another team.
